What We Believe
FBC Doctrinal Statement

We believe that the entire Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is God's Word; that it was given by inspiration of God to the original authors and is still true and accurate today.

We believe that all things and beings of the world were created by the direct act of God and are not the result of an evolutionary process.

We believe that Jesus Christ, as God in the flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the whole world, was bodily resurrected from the grave and will come again to rapture his saints from the earth prior to the great tribulation. Only Christ has power to save men and women from their sins.

We believe in a literal Heaven where the saved will permanently reside with Christ after their death, and a literal Hell where those who died without trusting Christ while on this earth will permanently reside after their death.

We believe that salvation is available through the grace of God to all who are willing to repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior and that no work of man, [including baptism or human good works] has any part in saving a soul.

We are concerned about the dangers of many modern doctrinal trends and thus choose to remain independent and conservative in practice. Click to learn more
